Ideally, the most ethical holiday gifts are home made. But some of us are not handy, and some of us have no time. So list here your favorite ideas/links to ethical holiday gifts.

I like Etsy.com If you cant hand-make it, someone else can!
I also like, for the kiddies, HABA and Plan wooden non-toxic toys.
A great catalog for young ones is Magiccabin.com
Under the nile has cheap organic cotton clothes for kids
Craigslist and Freecycle have great options for used items
and Happybumblebee.com is organic and fair trade and Super Cute

When buying for a niece or nephew or son or daughter, be sure buy stuff that has
little or no packaging
can be used as several different things or added to to make new every few months, like doll houses, etc
is durable enough to be a hand-me-down later
is not made with PVC, Pthalates, BPA, Lead paint, etc.
costs a price that reflects its true cost
wont end up in a landfill next year, hopefully
does not take endless batteries

I'll add to this list with a gift of lessons. Give dance lessons, karate lessons, trapeze lessons, yoga perhaps. Lessons don't hurt the environment, and make a nice gift. There's something for everyone out there. Help one another get active!

I have finally managed to get my family to accept, that I REALLY REALLY dont want any gifts..- and I am so relieved..

My kids make gifts for relatives, and I guess wll receive some.. but other than that I try to concentrate on the social side of the season, nice food, nice company.. that sort of thing.
