Ive been trying to be an ethical consumer for years now, and have seen many new parents go the big-box-store route when the baby comes along. Im proud to say that we have bought about 1% of our baby items new, and most of those were organic materials. We have collected all the big basics such as beds, carseats, furniture, breast pumps, etc. either used and for a fraction of the price, or donated for free. We have bought most of the clothes from thrift stores and consignment shops. We plan on cloth diapers, and getting our books from the library.
